The civil society argues that South African Social Security Agency must rejects the scanty increase in grants sanctioned by the National Treasury and demands an increase of, at least, R90 in the SRD grant. African National Congress (ANC) truly values its ‘pro-poor policies’, the R440 would ease the financial burden of 8.5-million SASSA SRD grant beneficiaries.
